A.D.O.S. INTERNATIONAL — Let’s discover the world together

A.D.O.S. stands for Water, Dignity, Opportunity and Development in Italian. We create free books, stories and games for children, families and teachers.

Six illustrated books take us through nature, living together, water, energy and the journey of olives from grove to table. Open them in the site’s library.

We are rewriting the books in British English, German, French, Spanish, Polish and Portuguese, one language at a time. Each text uses natural, simple words for children, while preserving the content and meaning of the original.

The project also includes video books in different languages, combining pictures and reading aloud. We work on clear voices, pace, pauses and how the pictures follow the story. Content will become available as it is completed and checked; parts that are not yet available are still being prepared.

The video books will also support language learning. Each page will be available to read and listen to in Italian, British English, German, French, Spanish, Polish and Portuguese. Readers will be able to switch languages on the same page, compare words and listen to the story again with help from the pictures. This feature is being prepared and will become available gradually, after the texts and recordings have been checked.

Our commitment: continuous, coordinated improvement. We work on texts, pictures, voices and navigation together, making the site clearer and easier to use.

We are looking for people to help review texts in different languages, improve readings and share the site with families and schools. You can also tell us what does not work or is unclear.

We show the world we want through 94 pictures: water, nature, dignity and a future we can build together.
