Tiny pale flowers

Tiny pale flowers appear among the leaves.

They grow in little clusters.

This step comes before the olives too.

We look without picking them.

The story

When they return in spring, Ada sees pale dots among the leaves of the big olive tree. They are not olives. They are tiny flowers growing in little clusters.

‘It has flowers too!’ she exclaims. Neri looks at them without picking them. ‘Yes. Olive flowers are small. We need to look closely, without using our hands.’ Leo looks for the biggest flower, but Sami chooses a whole cluster to draw. Rumo had only been waiting for the fruit. Now he notices a step he would have missed. Tila opens the journey map. Ada adds a pale flower before the olive. The path towards the bread has a new stopping place, hidden among the green leaves.

Let’s talk about it
