@ A.D.O.S. INTERNATIONALThe story
When the work is finished, the adults tidy up the cut branches. Leo would like to take one to make a sword. Tila suggests looking at it and drawing it instead. ‘The people who work here must look after the pruned branches.’ The grower explains that branches can have different uses, depending on local conditions and rules. They must not be left where someone could trip over them. Ada draws a branch with its narrow leaves. Sami finds the same shape among the olive tree’s branches and leaves. Rumo helps the other adults clear the path. In the notebook, the branch stays whole. In the field, everything will go where the people in charge decide.
Let’s talk about it
Who decides what to do with the pruned branches?
One possible answer
The adults in charge decide, according to local conditions and rules. The path must stay clear and safe.
A little activity
Our notebook — Look at the picture and draw the shape of a branch. Paper and pencils are enough for this game. Leave the real branches to the adults.
